Car originally brought in for check engine light and, once again, complaints about the brakes squealing/grinding. Brake pads assessed and while the front brakes rated at 12, the rear brakes rated at 2 despite having been replaced 8 months prior. Brake lines flushed & brake pads replaced for the THIRD TIME in less than 2 years. Next morning - brakes still grinding/squealing. At this point, I don't see hope in a resolution and it appears whatever is wrong will not be fixed unless I flush & replace the brakes every 8-9mo which is RIDICULOUS.
Car was brought in for a flat tire primarily - mentioned AGAIN that the breaks were grinding/squealing despite having been replaced 9 months ago. Brake pads replaced again, brake lines flushed. The next morning the breaks were still grinding/squealing. No real resolution despite spending hundreds of dollars on brake repairs.
Car was brought in for 20k maintenance and brake issues were mentioned as the breaks had started squealing/grinding when used. Brake pads were replaced and dealership noted "more than usual" wear to the rear breaks. I had hoped this would fix the issue, but it did not. The next morning, brakes continued to grind/squeal - I did not have time to have it re-addressed until the next maintenance.
The brakes made a squeaky noise since I brought the vehicle home. I called the dealer and they said it was normal. When I took it to the dealer for the first oil service check up, I again mentioned it and they said it was a normal thing for a TAOS. It has always squeaked like it needs new brakes.
When having to stop more suddenly and apply the brakes more forcefully, the brakes would make a strange grinding/clunking sound. (No, this was not ABS system). Have had other cars that never did this. Sounded like warped rotors/pads. January of this year tried to get new rotors installed from dealer, but never heard back from dealer. Parts for this car are simply non-existent and are unavailable.
