Since the overheating occurred, I have to constantly keep an eye on the coolant level and checking hoses for any fraying or leaks. VW parts are expensive. I recall paying about $100 for one radiator hose, that was in the 90's. I am still driving this van with about 90K miles at the moment. Dealer cannot help with the color code, some parts they do not sell anymore.
