1995 Volvo 940 was involved in a frontal accident and none of the front air bags deployed. Also with the first incident, the consumer hit another vehicle in the rear and destroyed the front of his vehicle. (totaled) the second incident occurred while the vehicle was in motion without any impact, the air bags deployed.
The front bumper of the consumer's vehicle hit a rock and the passenger and drivers side airbags deployed. Consumer received facial injuries, a broken nose and lost 24% of hearing. Mr
IE97063, inadvertent air bag deployment. While driving about 10 mph, vehicle was involved in a crash, and the air bags on drivers' side and passenger's side inadvertently deployed. Driver received cuts/abrasions and bruises from air bag deployment. Only damage to the vehcle was the shattered windshield. The windshield shattered more on the passengers' side. Manufacturer will be contacted about the problem.
Both driver's and passenger's side airbags deployed less than 5 mph during frontal impact with garage, causing airbags to crack windshield. Also caused injuries to occupants. Cause unknown.
