After parking car in garage or covered parking, the battery drains and it will not turn over or start. This is linked to the Sirius radio- it pings for signal even if you do not have an active subscription. Volvo is not allowed to completely turn off the Sirius radio- they have a contract. Therefore the only solution they offer is to update the software.

I've had a lot of problems with my battery on this car. Dealership replaced it 2 times in less than a year. I have to wonder if this is all related.

This is a very intermittent problem, happening about 1 in 10 starts, usually after the car has been sitting a few days. I turn the key and the relay clicks and sometimes I can hear the starter motor spin for a second, but the starter does not engage. All the instrument lights are on, but nothing happens. If I turn the key back to "off" and try again it ALWAYS starts on the second try, and will start fine the rest of the day.

I have replaced the starter, starter relay, and the battery to no avail. I have also checked, cleaned, and tightened all the cable connections. It acts like it loses the circuit to the starter just as the solenoid is energized. I really like this car, but this is very frustrating. I wish it would fail altogether so I could identify the real problem.
