A week after getting a clean bill of health during my 30,000 mile check up i stopped to get gas on the way home from work. The car started shaking at a stop light, as i pushed the gas pedal to go forward it would barely move. I did manage to get it the next half a mile down the road to my house but knew something was seriously wrong. The next morning I had it towed to volvo dealership where it stayed for the next two weeks. After a week of trouble shooting they came back with, the mechanic said "there were bearings all over the place, something exploded in there". The timing belt tensioner bearing burned up and through off the timing resulting in every valve slamming into the head of the pistons bending them all. They replaced all of the intake valves and timing belt kit. Its back to running normally, for now. This is the second bearing issue with this car they must have been drinking when they made the bearings for this car.
