The contact owns a 2002 Volvo S60. While driving 65 mph, the vehicle reduced in speed going to 35 mph. The contact applied pressure to the accelerator pedal and the vehicle failed to accelerate. The vehicle was taken to a Volvo dealer who diagnosed the failure as the ETM and was replaced it at the owners expense. The ETM failure recurred. The vehicle will be diagnosed by the dealer. The failure mileage was 110000 and the current mileage was 154000.
Engine is idling very low. Has died on major thoroughfares 3 times in past 2 weeks. Did restart. Taking it in in 2 days (earliest appointment was a week from when I called the dealership).
I have had many problems with the transmission, car will stall in traffic, car would not start at all. This car has been in service many many times. The problems persist. I have sent 9 emails to their head quarters since 12/5, no reply.
