The contact owns a 2000 Volvo S80. While driving 35 mph, the contact noticed smoke coming from underneath the hood of the vehicle. The vehicle burst into flames. The insurance Agency and Volvo investigators determined that the cause of failure was due to a short in the wire harness. The vehicle was destroyed. The current and failure mileages were 40,000.
