Manufacturer fault, the bonding apparently is contaminated (told to me from a replacement screen company) the leak is annoying and at present I am trying to get repaired by local Volvo dealer but I suspect they will refuse.

Garage said that just about all Volvo models XC60 XC90 after 5 to 6 years, you have to take the windshield off, scrape the glue and add new glue and put the windshield back on. Why has Volvo not fixed this problem?
