I had this car from day 1. This car was well maintained, had all scheduled maintenance. With a flip of a coin it started burning massive amounts of oil. Every three weeks I needed new oil. I was told that my car is old now and has a lot of mikes. I call this horse ... , because it was 100% maintained and it did not come on slowly; it came instantly. The Volvo mechanic wants $8K to repair the engine. I am in disbelief. Today I found the class action lawsuit about the piston rings and everything makes sense now.

Oil leak "supposedly" fixed in Jan 2022 for $2600. Then car broke down on a road trip in April. Transmission failed due to oil leaks. I was stranded 300 miles from home and it cost $600 to tow my car back to the nearest dealer. Repair was over $7K after Volvo paid 20%. I have spent over $10k on the car this year alone and tonight the oil low light came on and there was NO oil left. I'm 2 thousand miles from my next oil change and obviously there is another leak. I have to get rid of this car, but can't afford one because I've spent so much fixing it. Please help. I need advice on what to do. Should I get a lawyer at this point?
