Honda Fit Recalled Over Busted Front Driveshafts
You'll leave a stop sign only to stop again and wait for a tow truck.

— Over 1,000 model year 2013 Honda Fit cars have serious problems with the right front driveshafts that could cause the cars to stand still. Honda says the defect was discovered after reviewing warranty claims, although no accidents or injuries have been reported.

The driveshaft has to go through a heat treatment process during manufacturing, but a failure in that process can cause the driveshaft to weaken.

Honda says you'll know if the driveshaft breaks because it will likely happen when taking off from a dead stop. It won't take long after that until you're stopped again, this time waiting for a tow truck.

Honda will mail recall notices this month and dealers will inspect and replace the right front driveshaft, if needed.
