Sprinter 2500 and 3500 Vans Recalled
Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner Sprinter 2500 and 3500 vans have wrong tire pressure labels.

— Daimler Vans is recalling more than 1,200 model year 2016 Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner Sprinter 2500 and 3500 vans, all equipped with reinforced front axles.

Daimler says the labels on the B pillars have tire pressure information that is too low for the tires. Running the vans with low tire pressure levels can increase the temperature of the tires and damage the tires.

Daimler discovered the problem at an Argentina assembly plant in March 2017 after employees said workers may have mixed up the tire labels.

The pressure levels on the labels should be for vans with reinforced front axles, but instead may have text for other types of front axles.

Dealers will replace any tire pressure labels that are incorrect on the Freightliner Sprinter and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans, but Daimler doesn't know when the recall will begin.

Affected owners with questions should call 877-762-8267.
