Check engine light came on at 59,000 miles. At first it appeared to be "just" a burned valve. Further investigation (requiring teardown of the engine) revealed the camshaft was defective and due to roughness and pitting/scoring of the camshaft, it had been gradually wearing away at the valves. Repairs required a complete valve job and replacement of the camshaft. Total cost $2200 and no help from Chrysler corporation.. tough luck to me since it's out of warranty, even though this obvious engine failure is due to a defective part... No modern car should have its engine fail at 59k miles!!! I have owned Chrysler vehicles my entire life but this is the last of their products I will ever buy.
