This has been going on over a year. First Ford dealer "couldn't recreate complaint"... it beeped and flashed twice on the way out of the parking lot. Put up with it a month or so...

The problem locked in without audible alarm for several weeks... I took it to second dealer whose techs are competent and they said wiring harness was bad and needed replacement. Parts $800+ and 12 hours labor estimated for a total of about $3,100. Very perplexed... car is 12 years old, but very dependable otherwise and was low-mileage for its model year.

Edge SEL V6

We had the sensor fixed under the warranty, however, less than 6 months after, the sensor started acting up again. It should be enough that it will cost a person a battery to replace because it will leave the lights on all night as it is tonight. I have tried slamming the door, closing it quietly, softly, easily, roughly, everything to no avail. Still can not get the light to go off.
