CarComplaints.com Notes: A frustrating electrical issue is causing an ever-present “door ajar” warning light for 2011-2013 Ford Edge owners. Even with the doors latched shut, faulty sensors convince the vehicle’s computer they aren’t. With no way to override the system, owners have no choice but to stare at the warning light, listen to the warning chimes when the car is stopped, and deal with interior lights that won’t shut off.

rear differential vent leaking rear differential vent leaking

The vent in the rear differential can leak fluid everywhere when the temperatures drop below 30 F. I had this same exact problem in February of 2014. Brought it to Ford, they installed an updated part. Fast forward one year and the same thing is happening again. For a vehicle with 23,000 miles on it, going back to the dealer for a 4th time for leaking components is very irritating. Does anyone do r+d anymore?
