CarComplaints.com Notes: A frustrating electrical issue is causing an ever-present “door ajar” warning light for 2011-2013 Ford Edge owners. Even with the doors latched shut, faulty sensors convince the vehicle’s computer they aren’t. With no way to override the system, owners have no choice but to stare at the warning light, listen to the warning chimes when the car is stopped, and deal with interior lights that won’t shut off.

So had the sunroof open. Went to close and there pas a pop. Noticed that the PLASTIC part that moves the sunroof had broke.

Took to FORD and was told they would have to cut the top off the car to redo the sunroof. Cost was over $10,000. THIS IS REDICULIOUS!!!!! PLASTIC PARTS. and there is no fix. They said it would cost us $3,000 just to try and close it but it was not a for sure thing.

I was trying to close the sunroof one day and heard some snapping, popping sounds and the window was jammed. I took it apart and found that a very small plastic hinge had broken. You cannot just buy that part, you have to buy the entire sunroof assembly for about $1000 and then have it installed. I never had it fixed.
