I have a 2010 f150 king ranch and the rear end axle housing broke away from the pumpkin. This is the second time this has happened in four years. Am I the only one this happened to? Overall this is costing me 6,000 - at this point I will never buy a Ford again.

broken rear axle housing

Driving home on the night it broke not hauling or towing anything. I heard a loud cluck and the check brake system light came on. I Googled this light problem and it came up with a picture of a broken axle housing. Sure enough that's what had happened to me.

Took it to Ford and they didn't want to cover it. Said that I must have abused my truck. Now the axle is getting repaired and all of the parts are on back order until Feb. Ford wont give me a truck to drive while it's being fixed. Groove Ford in Colorado is where I bought my truck and where it is now.
