I have a F-150 Lariat, a decked out beautiful truck with leather seats, cooling and heating seats, you name it. One day all of a sudden the driver's side only would blow hot air, no cold air. The passenger side would blow cold or hot air.

Took it to the dealership and they wanted $2,400 to take out the center console take out my front seats take the dash out totally and replace a motor that I found on the internet for $35.

For such a nice truck and expensive truck to have a cheap little motor go out on it. This design has two small motors one controls the passenger side and one controls the driver side if you don't replace both of them one's going to go bad and then after you replace it the other one will go bad so you might as well do them all at once.

3rd Blend door actuator in 3-1/2 years to be replaced and of course driver side blend door so they have to remove the whole dash to replace it. Spent nearly $2300 in 3-1/2 years on just $60s in parts just so my HVAC works! How is there not a recall for this! It wouldn't bother me so much if it was an easy fix, but it's a huge expense in labor for just a tiny little servo that keeps losing its position so it just shuts off where ever it is.

Last year the driver side blend door got stuck on cold, cost $800 to fix, now a year later the passenger side is stuck on hot!! Really reflects poorly on ford for how terrible their HVAC system is!!!!!!

WOW! when it's -40 Celsius, it would be nice if the driver side can blow heat.

Froze myself for 2 days before getting it fixed, I made a video of the process to help others.

$50.00 or less part but almost $1000.00 to install in most areas.
