Ford forgot who is the customer! I was a Ford guy for 23 years and my father was a Ford guy for over 40 years. I have had a problem with the LED touch screen in my truck for almost two years. The screen would randomly display colors and reboot. I took a video of the issue but it would never happen when I went to the dealership. I provided the video of the issue but they said they had to record a code since it was not integrated with the other system.
Six weeks ago it started doing it all the time and the dealership was able to capture the error code. They replaced the screen and when I got home I notice it was displaying a 911 error code. I took it back to the dealership three more times and then they told me they were unable to access the unit with a computer. Now they are telling me the Ford engineer are working on a solution and that was three weeks. I was asked to call the Ford customer advocate who then called the dealer and was told the same solution is being worked by Ford engineers. Great customer advocacy...
My truck is still under warranty and there is no ETA on a resolution. AGAIN, FORD HAS FORGOTTEN WHO IS THE CUSTOMER!
I am in the process of trading in the F-150 for a Dodge. My father would not believe I would have had this kind of issue and that Ford doesn't care about its customers. I know writing this statement will not help, but I plan to telling this story to anyone that will listen.
