I took the truck in for several reasons, and found one more when I arrived. Headlamp seals busted and lamps got condensate in them. DRL light recall, chrome plastic grill pealed, plastic plate under the hood was crushed due to improperly install hood from the factory, paint on the underside was rubbed off from the crushed plastic and the mirror motors malfunctioned and wouldn’t stop clicking.
Additionally, the paint is thin, brittle crap that can’t withstand sand. It has been flaking off since before I rolled off the lot.
Ford took care of everything but the headlamps, which are useless in the rain. Ford warranty claims this is normal behavior. I have a rep working the case, but isn’t getting anywhere. I sent an email to Jim.hackett@ford.com and his office ignored me. Throughout all of the problems with my 5 Chevys and 1 GMC. I never had an issue with getting the warranty work done.
I special ordered this truck. When it came in, Eric over at Auto Nation in Katy, TX, along with his manager and other, tried to screw me for 3k more. I had another dealer pull it and sell it to me for the agreed upon price. I’m wishing I had walked away.
Ford has been screwing with me since the day the deal was inked. First and last Ford. I’m shopping a custom build GMC and tossing the crap Ford.
