Researching options now before taking it for diagnosis and possible repair. The problem is trying to choose the vent into the cabin or foot area or both for the A/C to blow out cooling air. The defrost vent is the only vent the air blows out of now. The A/C works fine but looking for any reason the vent switching does not work. Definitely annoying and it takes longer to cool cab area.

F-250 XLT Lariat 6.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 53,685 miles

The information comes from the Ford my owner website. Ford recently updated the website and washed all of the service records so no specific details are showing. They even changed the reported repair costs.

I remember my A/C repair costing just over $1200 and Ford Lists it as $2559.82.

A/C should not fail at 53,000 miles.
