The WIF light came on, I drained the separator 3 times immediately after seeing the light. I called nearest Ford dealer in Birmingham Al, Jim Shinner Ford. It was 4pm and they really did not have time for me. My request was to connect computer and tell me if it was safe to continue my trip or should I shut down and find a mechanic. They drained the separator and once again said they did not have time to check farther. I begged them saying I had another 800 miles to go and I needed to make sure I was safe to travel. They agreed. Service manager informed me he cleared the 2 codes and I should be good to go. I made it to Buchanan WV to Jenkings Ford where I was informed that I had major damage and it would cost me $8500 to repair. The mechanic also tld me the codes should have never been cleared unless system was cleaned. Now I get no help from Ford in any way. I have contacted my attorney so we will see where it goes from there. I am understanding that GM is having same issues but are taking much better care of their customers.
