AC stopped working, evaporator coil was leaking, it is located under dash so repair requires excessive labor charge. cost was $2500 for a $100 part. Online there are many reports of this deflective part. My car was out of warranty so I had to bear the entire price. this is not fair.

I was driving on Interstate-95 in Washington, DC going about 55 mph in heavy traffic. Without warning my car lost acceleration and the car almost immediately slowed to approximately 35 mph, despite my foot still being on the accelerator--pushing on the accelerator did nothing. Then after several seconds, the car sped up again, but when I reached around 40 mph, the car lost acceleration again for several seconds. It kept doing this over the course of my entire trip, which was about 5 miles. I had to pull in the shoulder lane driving with my hazards flashing. After I parked my car and turned it off, I noticed my brake lights were still on. I googled the issue, and the source of the problem is a faulty transluscent plastic/rubber brake switch stop pad (that is connected to the brake pedal and when the brake is released the brake switch stop pad pushes in the brakeswitch turning off the brake lights), which broke during my trip. I found the broken pieces on my floorboard (i took a photo of them and kept them). Because the car senses that the brakes are still being applied it cuts power to the accelerator. This was highly dangerous on the interstate and it broke with no warning. Fortunately, it didn't cause an accident. While reviewing the fix (Ford doesn't sell the replacement part; instead they want you to replace the entire brake pedal for about $500) on a Mustang Owner Forum, numerous people echoed the same problem with many having it occur while driving. The fix involves buying a $5-10 part from Dorman which is made for another vehicle.

The mustang has a problem with its HVAC system. The A/C needs to be serviced constantly making the reliability of these cars come into question. These are conveniences every driver needs in their car. I'm going to return my 2015 in 1 year for a car with a reliable AC unit. A Toyota or honda

The rearview camera will intermittently display a blank or distorted image. When placing the car in reverse the camera will intermittently display a blank screen or distorted image while reversing the vehicle. This reduces the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. This happens when both stationary and in motion. This is the same issue that my 2020 Ford Mustang GT VIN [xxx] has just received a recall notice for. The camera began to fail the summer of 2020. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

The manual transmission is faulty, got it replaced under warranty and now again went bad but no more warranty. The ac compressor went out and evaporator core is bad(very common problem with 15-17 models), it causes windshield to fog up bad and can barely see at times when driving, very expensive to fix too.

I own a 2015 Ford Mustang ecoboost premium. I bought it used and had it a for about a year and a half. At approximately 65000 miles the air conditioner started to not work fully. The driver side air condition would take longer than the passenger side to cool off. A small hole in my air conditioner's evaporator has developed. I searched around and discovered that this is a known problem in 2015 to 2017 Ford Mustangs. I know this isn't really a safety issue, but just wanted to get this out there because I am reading it on other websites and Ford has not recalled for this particular problem.

Water has leaked into the cabin of the car from the passenger side window. The leak appears to have come from the corner of the window seal and made it's way into the cabin and creating a stand pool of water. Water pooled on the rear floor and made it's way up to the front of the passenger side. The vehicle sat over the weekend from 11/26/2019 to 11/31/2019. I was not with the vehicle during this time. I locked the doors and rolled up the windows knowing rain was in the forecast. The vehicle sat at my place of residence during said weekend.

I bought my 2015 Mustang premium edition with 200 miles on it in 2016. During the last few years, there have been numerous times when the engine has shut off while driving, and stalled twice while waiting at a light. It goes into aux mode. But restarts right away I have not had the problem for quite some time but this past Saturday, it shut down again, while turning and this time a light came on that said run power active. This is a serious and dangerous condition which happens randomly, but usually while turning. Fuel level was 1/4 this past time. Ford must find the cause and recall asap. It has never happened while parked to date. Only 6600 miles on the car. Similar reports are posted on this site.

After researching many forums a lot of Mustang owners, ranging from 2010-2017, report a problem with their trunks not opening due to a wire that corrodes and doesn't allow the trunk to open. That should be a problem that the manufacturer is selling a faulty wire to consumers. This cost is $150, just to diagnose the issue which I believe is unfair. The trunk won't open unless I go into the trunk from the inside of it and unlatch it through the emergency exit. I hope this program can do its research and see that I am not the only Mustang owner that has this issue. I hope to make a difference and have Ford absorb the cost and fix this issue for older and newer Mustangs by not selling faulty parts and accessories.

Reporting a systemic manufactured fire condition.right side exhaust [passenger side front] behind wheel well..exhaust is too close to the wiring A/C schrader port causing melting heat damage to wiring fender liner and port cap.on this vehicle the fender liner has a hole burnt into it as well the schrader cap is melted.this is a documented condition on the internet with actual fires on film.as well Ford sent out a letter to approx 1300 owners about this exact problem in australia [ source sunshinecoast news article].no action has been taken in us. This came to my attention during a routine tire change on 4-25-2019. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request by either ntsb or Ford reps. The recommended repair might be some sort of heat shield reflector or other ideas? it is a serious problem I am advising of for major safety reasons.the vehicle was stationary at a repair shop when the problem was noticed.
