Camry XSE 3.5L V6

I just purchased a Toyota Camry XSE that had an MSRP of around $35000. The optional equipment package consists of an Entune Premium JBL Audio stereo with 10 JBL GreenEdge Speakers in 8 locations. Cutting to the chase, the stereo sucks! There is absolutely no bass. Even if you turn the treble and the mid-range completely down, the stereo still sounds tinny. So much so, that I have to turn it off.

I tried turning off various attributes of the sound system such as the surround sound, cashe, ond one other that I can't remember the name of, and still no bass. When you try fading the music towards the rear in hopes of hearing less mid-range and treble up front, there is practically no volume whatsoever.

So I think to myself, okay, maybe I bumped a speaker wire in the trunk and therefore inspect the area under the rear deck. Guess what I found ??? Toyota decided not to put a speaker in the passenger side rear vacancy designed to house one. So the speaker layout, to explain the number 10, is; 3 on the front dash, 2 in each front door panel, 2 very small rear speakers directly behind the headrests, and yes, 1- large speaker in on the rear deck on the Drivers side.

Toyota needs to come up with a solution for this, and it shouldn't involve any money coming out of the customers pocket. Its ridiculous to pay that kind of money and not have a quality stereo. My daughters Corolla, my Wife's Highlander and my Son's Camry all have stereo's that sound much better than mine, and two of those cars cost a heck of a lot less than mine did.

Camry XSE 3.2ll V6

At $800 up charge for the stereo system, it seems the top of the line JBL audio would sound better than a 1950's am radio. My 2013 Limited Tacoma JBL system sounds better turned down to 1 on volume than this new 2016 XSE V6 Camry with upgraded audio. My old 2011 Camry sounded light years ahead of this 2016 piece of sh*t. There is no right rear speaker and even showed the drawing for the XSE diagram. The dealer told me they could install an extra speaker for right side like the left speaker for $369 plus labor and order the speaker. The XSE sound have the best sound system in the industry, but fell way beyond short in the sound department. When I am driving, I like to rock.

Shame on Toyota, this sound system totally sucks. Will never buy a Camry again.
