Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Received recall notice for air bag inflator several months ago. Parts for repair still not available. This is totally unacceptable. Driving in unsafe vehicle and being told not to have front seat passengers for months on end is ridiculous. Placed call to local dealer on 11/10/15 and was told that there is no estimate for when the parts will be available for repair. I will never purchase another Toyota product. Toyota seems to be putting profit above consumer safety. Disgusting.

Air bags are part of recall and could fail resulting in the passenger being struck with broken metal which could result in serious injury or death. Recall began June 16th and I was informed by our dealer that I would have to wait for parts. That was 5 months ago. I am unable to use the passenger seat safely which has caused issues with my regular use of the vehicle. When requesting an update from our dealer I have not been given any timeline for repair. According to documentation I received from Toyota "if you believe that the dealer or Toyota has failed or is unable to remedy the defect within a reasonable time, you may submit a complaint to the administrator, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration" which is what I am doing now. I don't feel that 5 months without even an update or estimate of repair is a "reasonable time".

I received a safety recall (interim notice) from Toyota in August 2015 and have not had the front passenger airbag inflator recall replaced yet. This is not a timely manner where I should not have a passenger in the passenger seat for safety reasons and it is taking a long time for this to be replaced. I would like to have an adult passenger sit in the front instead of in the back with two car seats. I made a call to Toyota on October 19, 2015 to see when this issue will be resolved and the person on the phone said they are still looking into it and do not have a time frame. I would like to know if there is something I can do so that I may take another passenger comfortably in my vehicle as soon as possible.
