EPC light went on after 2 weeks of owning the used Audi. Took to used lot I purchased it from. After several attempts to fix it, was finally taken to Audi Dealer where they replaced cams under a recall. About 7 days later the oil light came on. Took car back to Audi dealer where they topped off oil and looked at car told us there was a rear main seal leak. Never saw oil on the ground.

The dealer told my husband it was a small leak and also needed right and left engine mount fixed. Called used dealer and he didn't believe that so I took car to a private Audi specialist would told me there was no main seal leak and my car is burning oil and that this is a problem with this type of engine. He also told me where to look on Internet to read more about this issue.

I paid top dollar for this vehicle (based on nada guidelines) in very good condition. This creates is not in good condition and I don't think I should be on the hook for 3k or more in repairs. Will be contacting dealer again and if they don't want to correct the known problem I will be going directly to Audi of America!

I bought the car from original owners with approximately 24000. They included a couple of quarts of oil to get me to my next oil change (every 5000 miles). When I asked the Service Manager about the use of oil, I was told it was normal for the Anchorage area. Every oil change I asked for 2 additional quarts. The oil consumption hadn't changed since I had the car. When I started taking the car in to have it topped off between oil changes this last June, Service decided it was time for an oil consumption test. It failed and the Phase I repair wasn't successful either. I had to pay for Phase II out of pocket which really gets me because this is the same repair done with the 09 A4s under the class action lawsuit. I appealed to Audi Corp and Boris said I wouldn't get any help from them. I love the A4 but I'm not so fond of Audi Management!
