Audi engine had catastrophic failure secondary to metal shrapnel in the engine at 49000 miles. Audi did all the engine repairs themselves. No aftermarket parts, tunes, oil changes and maintenance up to date, always 93 octane fuel. Two spark plugs noted to have broken and failed in the same way early (14K miles after replacement by Audi).
