- THE OXYGEN SENSOR IN THE EXHAUST SYSTEM COULD FAIL, POTENTIALLY CAUSING A VEHICLE TO EXCEED FEDERAL AND/OR CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS STANDARDS, OR TO EXPERIENCE INCREASED FUEL CONSUMPTION. IF THE OXYGEN SENSOR FAILS, THE VEHICLE'S CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD WILL ILLUMINATE. LETTER TO AUDI DEALER AND AUDI EMISSIONS RECALL CIRCULAR TO REPROGRAM THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) AND/OR REPLACE ONE OR TWO OXYGEN SENSORS. *TT
