LaCrosse Super 5.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 103,000 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

My transmission just out of the blue stopped working. My son was driving when the car would not go into any gears. Yes, the car has 103,000 miles on it, but I had no type of warning at all. The shop that had my car states, " when it's cooled down, the car drives regularly but when the transmission fluid warms up, the pressure in transmission drops and will not allow vehicle to shift into gear." Apparently I have to get the whole transmission replace which is going to run me anywhere from $3,000 - $5,200. Who has that kind of money to spend! I need some suggestions please.

LaCrosse CX 3.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 79,850 miles

drive gears failed housing broke

there was no warning. the transmission just all of a sudden stop going into any drive gear. Had the transmission serviced at Thompson Cadillac Buick GMC. at 7,500 miles flushed. I did notice the conveter sticking at tiomes but nothing the indicated a serious problem. the buick has cost me over 5,000 dollars out of pocket repairs. I will never buy another GM car....

Thanks,
