Premature wear of brake pads. Pads have been replaced every 10000 miles. Consumer states front brakes locked up, causing a collision with another vehicle.
Excessive wear of brake pads; at 20,000 miles, dealer turned front rotors and replaced pads at consumer's cost. Prolem continued to reoccur a 24,700 miles, 51,209 miles and at 58,000 miles. Brakes pads were replaced.
While driving wheels on front passenger's side locked up and sheared off. This happened while driving about 70 mph. Before this happened, truck was pulling to right. Problem was reported to the dealership. Dealer stated that problem was due to after market brake pads. Truck was towed to a garage. Owner still waiting on parts, whole wheel assembly sheared off the truck.
Front passenger side/outer side brake pads wear excessivley down to the metal. Dealer notified and informed consumer that was normal wear. Seeking additional information on this matter from NHTSA.
