problem #3

Apr 162017

Ram 3500 SLT Diesel

  • Automatic transmission
  • 224,625 miles

While driving at about 60 mph, I hit a minor bump in the roadway and the truck started shaking violently. The only way it stopped was I had to reduce my speed to 30 mph. The problem was I was in the express lane. It was a very scary and dangerous situation.

Ram 3500 4x4 5.9L Diesel

  • Manual transmission
  • 100,200 miles

64,000, Dodge rebuilt front end with replacement parts. I have now rebuilt the front end at a cost of over a thousand dollars. Now have the uncontrollable death wobble on all new parts. The original front end did not wobble but a toe rod end snapped when I was driving about 5 miles an hour.

Ram 3500 4x4 Cummins

  • Automatic transmission
  • 7,000 miles

Front end will shake violently for no apparent reason when running down the road above 40 mph. It just takes a small normality in the road to set the truck off. The only way to cure this is to slow the truck way down to about 30 mph until it quits. Has been doing this since new. I put on a new dual rancho 7000 steering stabilizer and it took care of the problem for awhile. Truck has 108K and it has started back up again. I will be taking it to the dealer as part of the H46 Mopar Steering Linkage Safety Recall.

Chrysler has problems here and hopefully they will step up to the plate and get this corrected.
