Summary
Some 2022 F-150 Lightning vehicles may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator (wrench) lamp and/or malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code(s) (DTCs) U3012, P062F, and/or P0A7F in the battery energy control module (BECM) and/or P0887 in the secondary on-board diagnostic control module-B (SOBDMB), secondary on-board control module-C (SOBDMC). This may be due to a loose 12 volt positive or negative battery cable connection. Prior to performing Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics, inspect both ends of the positive and negative battery cable connections and tighten if loose. If the cable is tight, continue with normal workshop manual diagnostics. Be sure to use the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) high voltage battery capacity relearn. This routine must be performed to clear BECM DTC P0A7F.
