Transmission warning light come on and Engine goes into "Low Gear" only Only happens when cold.

Apparently the dealer did not change the HP filter when they did the transmission oil change only the sump filter.

Bought new filter $70 took it to local Garage They put on the lift Supported the engine took of the drivers side wheel and removed the Engine Mount. The filter is located behind the mount. Removed the filter housing replaced the HP filter and the ORings on the transmission cooling pipes. The filter was badly choked with fine metallic particles.

Problem now solved.

The HP filter has to be changed every 60000 km along with the oil change.
