This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
1. I leased a 05 Ford Freestyle and in just 3 days the PCM was broken. In just 100 miles. I was still able to drive home that night. 2. the next day I called the dealership and told them that the engine check light was turning on and the vehicles turns on and off, so maybe they can tow the car from my home. Instead they told me to drive the car to the dealership. I was on my way to the dealership and when I exited the freeway the engine suddenly stopped including the brakes which almost made me fall off the ditch. I was then towed to the dealearship. 3. the dealership had to order a new PCM and when the PCM arrive after 2 days they had to wait for another 2 days since they did not have the software to calibrate the new PCM. The car stayed longer in the dealership than with me while I was paying the lease everyday.
