Our 2021 Ford Transit has less than 20,000 miles on it. Twice we have had to have sensor wires replaced because ground squirrels at our favorite campground have eaten through them. Ford refuses to replace under warranty despite the fact that it is stupid to used rodent attracting products under the hood!! We have camped at this campground for 42 years, ground squirrels and all, with at least 11 different vehicles. This is the ONLY vehicle we've had a problem with.
So, each time I have to pay Ford for a fix that they caused! Currently in debt over $3000 for this heavily warranted car and only Ford is receiving a benefit.
Update from Nov 28, 2023 This sensor wiring harness issue happened previously at the same camp ground with less than 17,000 miles on the 2021 Transit. Paid just under $700 dollars for that "fix". They then covered the wires with electric tape knowing that the wires are susceptible to rodents.
