rear hatch window exploded while the car was not moving for no apparent reason lucky no one was in the rear seats or standing in back of the vehicle at the time otherwise the flying glass would have been an issue. And if I had been driving the noise and distraction of the breaking glass could have been an issue as well. No ins or police inspections took place. No lamps or messages or symptoms of any kind presented prior to the glass failure.

While servicing my vehicle at an authorized GM dealership, I was notified of the recent recall regarding headlamps which get hot and can fail. It has been nearly 8 months since that recall was issued, and yet there remains no identifiable remedy or solution as to how they will resolve the issue and repair / replace the defective components.. entitled to safe vehicles, I am unsure as to how or why GM would believe that 8 months to not even have announced a solution is an absurdity. At this point, the period of time in which the manufacturer has had to develop and implement a solution is simply unacceptable as a consumer. I am under the belief that their solution to the problem is simple, they are going let the vehicles age a few more years and hope by that time, additional vehicles requiring repair will no longer be on the road and the issue will magically go away. As owners of this vehicle, I am entitled to the remedy as promised under recall GM 14291, and I do not think that it is acceptable for manufacturers to sit on open recalls for vehicles currently on our roadways which have been already been identified as having a safety defect in need of defect replacement or repair.

Vehicle wipers starting turning on when wipers were set to off. This problem has progressively gotten worse. It started as only intermittently and occasionally having the wipers turn on for a couple swipes and then shutting off. Now they (the windshield wipers) start swiping when the vehicle is started and you can hear the windshield washer pump running, the wipers will run until I turn the vehicle off. At times this is for 30 minutes or longer.

Wind shield wipers would go on.now they won't go off. Engine light wont go off feels like the car is going to stall out. Mechanic said it will get worse and will start stalling out. I see a lot of complaints on these cars about the same thing I have going on. My gas gauge wont work. I brought my car for the recall for the drivers door last year and now my keys won't unlock the doors. Only the remote will open it. When I called about the doors and windows not working they said my VIN wasn't under recall I called you and you got it fixed for me. I think they need to check the electrical problems on the Envoy. I have the same complaints so something is wrong with these vehicle.
