Was told by state farm this was a design defect. The oil lines leak from the engine down to the filter that is on the front bumper instead of on the engine.
I purchased a used 2001 GMC Jimmy from performance (lemon dealer) Pontiac in syracuse N.Y.. the vehicle had 36,000 miles on it and 7 months later (purchased 6/03) the engine is shot. It had a leak through either a head gasket or head/block and antifreeze had been leaking into the engine oil. My vehicle now needs another engine or a complete rebuild!
