Code comes up....message comes up on the dash saying the fuel cap is loose (I think that is what it says or the blinker needs to switched on) anyway. You replace the cap and it might hold for a while. But I have read on this and people have bought expensive GMC ones and I just don't know if it matters.
Of course I don't know if it will pass smog if you want to sell.
