Head gasket corrodes and starts leaking oil onto alternator causing the alternator to short out and flash engine lights. Other makes with same engine for Hyundai had a recall for the same problem. The 2007 Hyundai Azera was not. I had repairs to this problem in the amount of $1500+

Brake pedal was harder to push down on. The service engine light indicator lit. Took it to the nearest Hyundai repair center but they refused to look into it as I did not have "an appointment" and was asked to make an appointment and come back. Took it to a nearby repair station (pepboys) who read the error as a faulty brake A/B switch but could not rectify it as they did not have parts. Took it to another repair center. They replaced the switch and advised on the recall. Called Hyundai customer service but they refused to reimburse on the claim as the exact VIN number was not part of the recall even though they acknowledged that the 2007 Azera had this problem.
