turbo oil lines

This is also a very high-risk problem. The oil lines will leak onto the back of the engine and tray and runs the risk of catching fire in some vehicles. But this also causing the turbo to put the vehicle into limp mode, meaning you will have zero power when you put your foot down on the gas peddle.

A sure sign of the leak is unstable boost, with oil on the belly pan below the turbo area, and the car suddenly going into limp mode either under boost or over significant sized bumps such as train tracks which jar the vehicle and causes the line to wiggle.

Correction in most cases is to simply torque the oil lines down properly, and if leaking is still present, the dealer is required under warranty to replace the seals or even the turbo if it is damaged due to this oversight.
