I had the same issue as many others. Brake pedal on occasion would go to the floor and vehicle did not want to stop. Clogged ABS unit from defective factory brake fluid. Thankfully, just got my car back from the dealer and factory payed for all repairs including replacement of ABS unit.

Driving on the beltway at above speed in the outside lane, there was an immediate stop of all traffic due to some police caravan, when I tried to stop, the brake went to the floor and realizing I couldn't stop without hitting the car ahead, I had to swerve into the emergency lane. Being of an older generation, I tried pumping the brakes which worked to stop the car.

I took the car into the Hyundai shop the next day and was given a rental car for the day, which was nice. According to the paper work, the HECU unit was replaced. The brakes are working fine now.

I hope this was truly the accurate repair and this issue won't happen again. However, I am spooked after reading others claims on this website about Hyundai's brake issues.
