A D V E R T I S E M E N T S
I have a 2012 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 sedan. My SON is the primary driver. He came home one evening and told me that the car failed to stop, pedal to the floor. The car was towed to Mavis Tires who wouldn't work on it - stating the REAR brake lines were corroded. There has been two recalls on the car, the brake fluid needed to be changed, to avoid BRAKE LINE CORROSION.(saying it was done, I do not believe it was) And another recall, UNDERCARRIAGE SPRAY to avoid UNDERCARRIAGE CORROSION both listed under the NHTSA. And of which I was not hounded ever to complete. Hyundai is gaslighting me that they have NOTHING to do with this problem. And refuse to pay for it. But want to charge me $2,250 for the repair. I am so disgusted with Hyundai (as I have been a part of their engine failure recall (with both a Sonata and Optima) and thankfully didn't die, and glad my son also was not harmed in this incident).
The car is constantly moving so I fail to believe the brake lines corroded out of thin air without the two above issues involved. But as usual, Hyundai will gaslight you. And take no accountability, even when I have a Hyundai case manager involved.
Horrible company. And after this car, will never own a Hyundai again..
