The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. The contact stated that while driving at 70 MPH, the ABS, emergency brake, and other brake warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. Despite the illumination of the warning lights, the vehicle resumed normal operation. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer and was informed that he had to pay out of pocket for the replacement of an unknown vehicle sensor, which the dealer related to the illumination of the warning lights. Recently, the contact stated that an abnormal, high pitched, motor sound would emit from the vehicle upon both turning the vehicle on and off. The contact then stated that upon turning off the vehicle, he heard an explosion as a white colored smoke began to emit from the engine. Upon opening the hood, the contact discovered the ABS pump had exploded. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle remained in the contact's possession and had yet to be serviced or diagnosed. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.
