engine caught fire engine caught fire engine caught fire

This had been a very bad experience for me and my family. We were not aware that there was an engine problem as we have not received any recalls. During the time our car caught on fire, I sent my husband to go and pick up our daughter, on their way home the car started stalling which it has not done before, on the second time it stalled my husband decided to pull the car on the side of the hi-way to check what was going on since he could see some smoke coming out of the hood. When he popped the hood the engine was on fire, he and my daughter started scooping snow off the ground to try and put the fire out but to no avail as the fire has gotten big so quickly and they couldn't do anything but to stay out of danger, my husband then called the fire department to come and put the fire out. My family was put in danger, I was just glad that it was not my daughter and grandson who were in the vehicle when it happened, or that it didn't happen during rush hour.

Update from Jun 30, 2019: The car was well maintained and I made sure that the oil was changed every 6,000 km. There were also no indications whatsoever on the dash showing or alerting them that there was any mechanical failures going on in regards to the engine.
