I bought my used car September 1

It's a 2014 Hyundai Sonata hybrid, with a little over 61000 miles on it, I had to evacuate from a hurricane about week after that, when I returned I checked the oil on my car there was no oil showing on the stick the oil light never came on, I took it to the dealership they said engine oil drain bolt washer had crack in it, they put oil in and said everything was fine.

I had to go out of town this past week and on the way back I checked the oil it was about a quart and a half low I called the dealership and ask the service manager what type of oil they used was it synthetic or regular oil, she went and ask the mechanic she came back and said do not put oil in it because it would void the warranty I ask her how that would void it, she didn't have an answer for me and I got kinda mad cause they would not tell me what oil to put in it.

i then drove to the next rest area a checked it again there was no oil on the stick I tried to call the dealership they would never answer the phone I guess they had caller id , so I called a tow truck and took it to the closet Hyundai dealership they put it on the rack the under belly was clean there had been no leak, he then took off the oil cap and there was so much sludge build up he said the engine was torched no way it could be fix, I ask way the oil light never came on, he said because of all the sludge in there, he said this should have never been sold...

Update from Oct 5, 2017: the carfax the dealer gave us said the engine was a 2.0L,.... I went to autocheck it says 2.4L, I also went to vehiclehistory it also says 2.4L so which is it a 2.0L or 2.4L

bought this car used about a month and a half ago, had to go out off town a week after i bought it.

when i got home i checked the oil, no oil showing on stick, took it to dealer, said the washer on oil pan had crack in it and leaked oil out. they said everything is fine, no codes runs smooth.

had to go out of town a week after that, on the way back, checked oil. guess what, no oil on stick again.

had it towed to a hyundai dealer. they put it on rack and said there is no oil leak and never had leak, the car was clean under the car. they then took the oil cap off and there was so much SLUDGE in there, they said there is your problem they said no way to fix it, they said this car should have not been sold...

we had them put oil in it so we could get it home and take it to the dealer... its been at the dealer now for 2 weeks. they said they don't know what the problems is..they gave me a loaner car to drive until they find out whats wrong with my car. they wanted me to drive for a thousand miles and then bring it in so they can check the oil. I told them that is a safety concern for me because I drive on the interstate everyday and what would happen if the engine seized up an stalled and it caused a wreck? do i have to be killed in a wreck before they take responsibility?

this car is having the same problems that all the other sonata's that were recalled, but my car is not on the recall list..
