Veloster Turbo 1.6L

  • CVT transmission
  • 34,747 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

I bought the car new in April of 2016. Not long after, I noticed the crazy shifting and hesitating which has gotten way worse. The dealership had a recall and I took it in. It seemed to work for a while, but then slowly got worse and now I hate driving the damn thing. Hesitates upon acceleration and jumps and acts like the transmission is stuck, then all of a sudden it bolts forward like a rocket and won't stop. I have almost hit or been hit because the damn thing acts so flippin stupid. The past month it has driven worse than ever and I don't think there is any hope for the poor bastard, its shot.

I have taken it to the dealership on 4 occasions and they tell me it's supposed to drive like that, seriously WTF ?! It didn't always drive like that and I think something needs to be done about it. They need to change out the transmission with a newer one that isn't like the rest of the 2016's they are having issues with. I don't know what they need to do but something needs to be done. I can't seem to get any help what so ever with the damn thing and talk about unhappy. You pay $25k for a beautiful car and pay out the ass and keep it nice, to have this issue that they can't fix. AGAIN WTF !???

Veloster Turbo 1.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 19,820 miles

For the second time in several weeks, as I accelerate the car gets stuck in second gear while I'm driving with it in automatic. I had to move it into neutral and back to drive to get it functioning again. It feels like there is no power and either have to shift down or up gear and back.

Veloster

  • Automatic transmission
  • 16,000 miles

A customer came to us at Central Avenue Service Station in D'Iberville, MS. The customer mentioned a hesitation when putting the vehicle into forward or reverse. We also noticed this condition. Transmission is a sealed unit and cannot be checked for proper fluid level. We instructed the customer to take it back to the dealership for a Warranty Repair.
