While in transit for annual vacation, at exactly 253 miles into the journey, the Venue's transmission began to slip, and the vehicle would not move. The vehicle was serviced four-days before the trip at Duncan Hyundai in Christiansburg, VA, and given a clean bill of health. Hyundai fixed the vehicle after about two-weeks waiting for a NEW replacement transmission. Hyundai towed the vehicle to a local dealer without issue. The problem is it cost us $789.00 to rent a U-Haul one-way rental due to no loaner cars, or rental cars in the area where the car broke down (Athens, OH). Hyundai reimbursed us $300.00. Almost $500.00 out of pocket expenses. Good thing is, I don't own the vehicle any longer..
