The contact owns a 2004 Hyundai XG350. While driving approximately 20 mph, the vehicle failed to stop when the brake pedal was depressed to the floorboard. The contact had to apply the emergency brake to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was driven to the contact's residence where brake fluid was found leaking underneath the middle of the vehicle. The vehicle was later taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the metal brake line was completely corroded. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 71,000.
