i just bought this car a month ago test drove it everything was great next day went to pick it up to drive it home after stopping for gas about 2 miles down the road the car started hesitating then at a red light it stalled would not restart like the battery was dead so my dad wet and bought a new battery the kia started drove good for about 4 or 5 miles then lost acceleration started to bog down then stalled in rush hour traffic i got it restarted though not easy made it another mile was in the left hand turnig lane where it died and would not restart i put it in park popped the hood it smelled like it was gonna catch fire but it did not mind you it was 110 degrees and 67% humidity that day and my elderly disabled dad and my 14 yr old daughter where with me and the streets are packed with rush hour traffic. people stoppped to try and help us push the kia off the road but no matter what i did it would NOT come out of park so we thought the transmission seized well i called AAA and we sat there i the left turn lane for 3 hours till the tow truck finally got there he was pissed because he could NOT get it out of park either so he had to drag it up onto his flat bed. we got it home the tow truck driver put the kia in our drive way ad left.the next day my dad goes out to see if he can figure something out with it and low and behold the thing started just fine switched gears smooth ran smooth for about 10 15 minutes then bogged down and died again.my dad does this for the next couple days the car does the same thing everytime.there should be a recall on this 05 kia armanti we could have been killed or hurt someone else with the erratic crap this car does now im broke with no money to fix it and no transportation im a single mom of 3 and take care of my sick father i spent everything i saved to buy this hunk of junk. does anyone know if i can still file a lawsuit against the manufacturer or ???? this is not fair that they have done nothing about this serious problem. shoot Im not out for money i would be happy if they would just fix the problem so i would have transportation for my family.
