Transmission disengaged while attempting to merge onto the freeway. The engine would rev and a large plume of bluish white smoke came from the tailpipe. I had to coast immediately off of freeway and while doing that the transmission re-engaged and I was able to pull into a gas station. (I seriously could have been killed by a semi!) The vehicle seemed to operate normally on the way to the dealership. Dealership performed full inspection, found nothing abnormal, nothing even coded! This was only the beginning of a series of issues ultimately leading to Kia buying the vehicle back under the Lemon Law.
