A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

I BOUGHT THIS 2006 KIA SEDONA LAST YEAR FROM A USED CAR DEALER. FIRST MY A/C HAS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE AND STOPS WORKING STILL NOT WORKING. NOW MY SHIFT GEAR WOULDN'T GO INTO PARK AND THEN NOT OUT OF PARK. THEN MY VAN WOULDN'T START GOT A JUMP START TOOK BATTERY TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT WASN'T BATTERY. NOW ESC,BRAKE,ABS,BATTERY LIGHTS ALL COME ON AND HAS NO POWER TO GO. I THINK MY ISSUE IS THIS RECALL:

KIA IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2006-2007 KIA SEDONA, AMANTI, SPORTAGE, SORENTO, AND MY RONDO AND AMANTI VEHICLES. THE STOP LAMP SWITCH IN THE AFFECTED VEHICLES MAY MALFUNCTION. A MALFUNCTIONING STOP LAMP SWITCH MAY CAUSE THE BRAKE LIGHTS TO NOT ILLUMINATE WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED OR MAY CAUSE THE BRAKE LIGHTS TO REMAIN ILLUMINATED WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS RELEASED. A STOP LAMP SWITCH MALFUNCTION MAY ALSO AFFECT THE OPERATION OF THE BRAKE-TRANSMISSION SHIFT INTERLOCK FEATURE SO THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTER WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO BE SHIFTED OUT OF THE PARK POSITION. IT MAY ALSO CAUSE THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC) MALFUNCTION LIGHT TO ILLUMINATE, AND IT MAY NOT DEACTIVATE THE CRUISE CONTROL WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED.SC077

I've just found this site but im already exhausted with this issue. This has been going on for a couple of years and every fix wasn't a fix. I took the car back to the dealership several times and ask them to look into it. The mechanics literally are saying that they know nothing about the issue. However online my issues are the same as literally thousands. It first started with the headlights going out every other month. One side then the other. Then the brake lights got into the action. Eventually some part on the driver side headlight harness burned out completely and Kia wanted to charge us over $250 for the part and labor. Thank God my husband did some heavy digging online (once we couldnt pull the part ourselves) and found a replacement for that part around $20 and did it himself. Once we thought we had that all sorted out we started having trouble with the car starting. So the drama continues and we went through all the checks. We checked the battery the wiring for the battery the starter the fuses the relays tried every little tip we found and all we can do to start the car now is hold the key in the onward position and pray it starts sooner than later. Today was the last straw we got to work and all the dash indicator lights started going haywire. Im sooooo tired of this i hope it starts when i get off we need help.
